Also survived by his ZBT fraternity brothers all across America to whom he was a true friend and reunion organizer. His phone calls to his brothers were his way of reaching out and staying in touch with those he held close. I miss Hefty and I miss his calls , but mostly I miss his sincerity and his desire to keep us all young with fond memories and photos from a special time in all our lives.

The man, the brother that put us back together is gone, but the bond he created will never end. Thanks Howard, you will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace.

Fifty years of friendship and brotherhood, we’ve been through many good times and bad times together over this long distance between Pittsburgh and Los Angeles. ZBT would not have been the same with out you and because of you we would never have reconnected with many of our long lost brothers. In your last days and hours, I just wanted to thank you for always being my FRIEND.
Happy everyone had fun. Sorry to miss and Howard thank you for your call it was very appreciated to be contacted. I look forward to the next one.
